How to Use the Sentence Builder
This exercise helps you practice building correct German sentences by translating from English using the provided words.
You can customize your learning by selecting from various difficulty levels and vocabulary sets. In any time you can change level from A1 to B1 CEFR or select most popular top lists.
Step by step guide
Read the English Sentence - At the top, you'll see a sentence you need to translate, for example: "The bottle is empty."
Use the Available Words - Below the sentence, you'll find a set of shuffled German words (e.g., Die, Flasche, ist, leer.) that you can use to form the translation.
Tap or Click the Words in the Right Order - Select the words one by one to build the full sentence in German. Example: Die Flasche ist leer.
Check your answer - Use the CHECK ANSWER to verify your sentence or RESET to return words to the original position.
Go to the Next Sentence - Once you're done, click NEXT button to continue to the next card.
Tips
Press "help" button to see a word card with help information and possibility to add the word in your learn list
Pay close attention to German word order, especially verb placement.
Don't forget punctuation - make sure to end your sentence with a period.
Use this regularly to reinforce grammar and sentence structure for A1–B1 learners.
