At A2 level (according to the CEFR) you can handle simple everyday situations in German: talking about yourself, your daily routine, shopping, work, travel and free time. These A2 German exercises help you build on the basics with clear, practical tasks.
What kind of exercises?
Everything is split into categories, so you can work on what matters most to you:
- Grammar - Perfekt, modal verbs, separable verbs, dative and accusative, word order
- Vocabulary - words for work, travel, health, food, shopping and free time
- Reading - emails, messages, ads, notices and short articles
- Writing - messages, short emails and simple descriptions
- Listening - everyday conversations, announcements and instructions
- Speaking - dialogues and role-plays about your past, your plans and your opinions
Who is this for?
If you've finished A1 or can already introduce yourself and handle simple questions, A2 is the next step.
You can use these tasks:
- to prepare for an A2 exam
- for self-study or to review what you learned in class
- to keep your German active between lessons
Tips
Try to use new words and structures in your own sentences. Short daily practice works better than long sessions once a week.
